After a decade of regulatory wrangling, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) authorised the first crypto spot ETFs in early 2024. Is the future of mass adoption near?   • Mike Philbrick, Panelist
    Mike is Chief Executive Officer of ReSolve Asset Management SEZC, an alternative asset management firm which focuses on providing cutting-edge, globally diversified and systematic investment strategies that are non-correlated to traditional portfolios. He has over 25 years of experience in investment management and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). Prior to launching ReSolve Asset Management with his partners, Mike held senior investment industry positions with Scotia McLeod, Richardson GMP, and Macquarie Group. 
  • Aaron Unterman, Panelist
    Aaron is the Managing Director of XReg Consulting SEZC, a public policy and regulatory affairs consultancy specialising in digital assets. The firm helps governments formulate sound policy, regulators supervise effectively, and digital asset businesses thrive in a compliant manner.  Aaron has deep experience in the development and implementation of regulatory frameworks and his background and network help clients to navigate the evolving international landscape for digital assets.  Aaron’s regulatory experience includes the role of deputy head of policy and development at the Cayman Island Monetary Authority and senior legal counsel at the Ontario Securities Commission. Aaron began his career as a financial services lawyer at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Toronto.
  • Mario Yaksetig, Moderator
    Mario an experienced Cryptographer at BitFashioned SEZC. He focuses on research in the area of privacy and analysis of cryptographic protocols. Mario's recent work includes studying and developing a state of the art Private User Discovery Protocol for anonymous communication systems. This research was conducted under Professor Alan T. Sherman, notable student of the cryptography icon Ron Rivest. Mario has previously worked with David Chaum, and has been actively working on implementing and validating cryptographic protocols in the blockchain space.
