New national insights outline strategic actions to strengthen Cayman’s skills, innovation, and workforce readiness.

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (9 December 2025) – Prepared by Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC) in partnership with Enterprise Cayman and Cayman Enterprise City (CEC), the Cayman Islands Tech Futures Week 2025 Report captures insights from the national event held 6–11 October 2025. Across 15 events, more than 850 participants contributed to discussions on technology careers, workforce readiness, and innovation in education, with 103 individuals providing direct input through focus groups and roundtables.

The findings, presented at a press briefing on 25 November 2025, offer a detailed look at the opportunities and challenges shaping Cayman’s digital workforce. The report outlines practical steps to strengthen future readiness, guided by seven key recommendation areas. Among the most significant are:

• A coordinated National Tech and AI Strategy, supported by a central governance model and shared data systems.
• Modernised education and training that embed AI literacy, digital skills, project-based learning, and strong soft skills.
• Expanded internships, apprenticeships, and mentorship programmes to strengthen career pathways and retain local talent.
• Increased inclusion and community engagement through national awareness campaigns, coding clubs, and equitable access to digital tools.
• Targeted investment in digital infrastructure, innovation hubs, sustainable tech, and easier digital business processes.
• Public sector upskilling supported by digital transformation KPIs and continuous learning pathways.
• Stronger collaboration between government, industry, and academia to align policy, skills development, and growth.

These recommendations form a practical foundation for a more resilient, skilled, and connected digital economy.
