Deep Fakes and AI Tech Talks

AI, Deepfakes and the New Hiring Fraud Risk

Thursday, 16 July 2026 • Signal House off Fairbanks Road • 5:30pm Doors Open • 6:00pm Discussion Starts

Explore the growing impact of AI on candidate fraud and what it means for employers, recruiters, and business leaders. We'll look at real-world cases where orgs have unknowingly hired individuals using stolen identities, AI-assisted interviews, deepfakes, and impersonation techniques, including examples highlighted by the FBI, Microsoft, and major cybersecurity firms. The discussion will cover how AI is changing the hiring landscape, the risks this creates for businesses, practical ways to identify fraudulent candidates during the recruitment process, and how orgs can protect themselves. We can finish on a forward-looking note - exploring the new roles and opportunities emerging as companies adapt to the AI era.
