Capture The Flag Competition

Hosted by the Computer Science Society 

The Capture The Flag (CTF) event is a technical, escape room–style competition where participants solve cybersecurity and coding challenges in order to progress through the event. Players analyse problems and investigate clues to find hidden solutions, often called “flags”, which show that a challenge has been completed. The challenges focus on areas such as server-side vulnerabilities, code analysis, and other related technical problem-solving tasks that require logical thinking and programming knowledge. By working through each challenge step by step, participants test their skills in understanding systems, identifying weaknesses, and analysing code, creating an interactive experience that combines learning, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving in a competitive environment.

Event Overview:

  • Prize: US $500 Cash Prize, , and the runner up will receive a US $250 cash prize.  
  • Teams: Teams will be formed on the day of the event — no need to pre-select your team. Teams will consist of 2-5 people.
  • Requirements: You’ll need to bring your own working computer and charger.  Free admission!  
  • Eligibility: All ages, all abilities welcome to compete for the cash prize. Participants must reside in the Cayman Islands.
