Launch Labs Studios Incubator

The Launch Labs Studios Incubator is a 6-month, high-impact programme designed to support up to 10 Cayman-based entrepreneurs annually. Designed to provide the structure, support, and accountability needed to move from the idea stage to investor readiness. This initiative is built in conjunction with the existing Launch Labs Studios Entrepreneurship Workshop Series and culminates in a private Angel Investor Pitch Day. The incubator offers a structured environment where selected founders receive targeted training, expert guidance, and pitch refinement to prepare for investment.

Programme Components

  • Mandatory Workshops: Core workshops selected from the Entrepreneurship Series.
  • Elective Sessions: Founders choose additional workshops that align with their needs.
  • Expert in Residence (EIR) Engagement: Participants must attend at least two sessions with a rotating EIR.
  • Pitching Bootcamp: Intensive group coaching.
  • Cayman Islands Venture Founders Society (CIVFS) Membership: Access to EC’s exclusive founder society.
  • 1-Year Launch Labs Studios Membership: Continued support during and after the cohort wraps.
  • Milestone Tracking: MVP development, business registration, customer base.

Selection Process

The Launch Labs Studios Incubator Programme is open to all entrepreneurs based in the Cayman Islands. Applicants will go through an application and/or short interview process, during which they will be evaluated on several key criteria. These include their level of readiness, the potential of their business idea, and how well their goals align with the objectives of the incubator.

Why take part?

Get pitch ready and access funding. During the 15 week intensive programme you will work with professionals to get your pitch ready for angel investment. At the end of the programme you will have access to the Enterprise Cayman Angel Investor Network of professional advisors, and funders.

Access resources. As part of the programme you'll have access to the "Launch Labs Studios" co-working facilities at Cayman Enterprise City (CEC). Facilities include shared kitchens, co-work office spaces, and access to professional meeting rooms.

Join a vibrant community of like-minded entrepreneurs and network of global business professionals part of the Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) network. Assess special events and exclusive networking opportunities. 

How do I apply? 

The Incubator Programme is currently open for applications on an invite-only basis. Successful candidates will be notified by email.

What types of projects qualify? 

Anyone with a valid business idea may apply. Projects must be at the growth/start-up stage in their development.

What is included in the programme's Curriculum?

The Incubator Programme includes a series of sessions that run for two hours on Wednesday evenings and lead up to a private invite-only "Angel Investor Pitch Night" event. Please note: attendance to all mandatory sessions is required to successfully pass the programme and qualify for investment review.

Each team will be allocated a mentor that will help to advise and suggest further avenues for support as projects develop. 

Are there opportunities for funding? 

 

As soon as your application is successful, and you become part of the Incubator Programme, you'll join a diverse network of business professionals including funders, advisors, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs. 

What is Cayman Enterprise City?

Cayman Enterprise City is home to a vibrant community and has attracted hundreds of innovators and entrepreneurs to establish a physical business presence in the jurisdiction. 

As part of the Incubator Programme, you'll have access to the Cayman Enterprise City network via Launch Labs Studios.
