Join us for a CyberSandbox discussion on the critical role of cybersecurity in the development, deployment, and ongoing use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This session will explore how cybersecurity practices can be applied to the unique challenges posed by AI, and the measures needed to safeguard AI systems throughout their lifecycle.

As AI continues to evolve, so too do the challenges of securing these powerful technologies. Our session leader, Daniel Powery, will provide an in-depth look at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. We will begin by defining AI and cybersecurity, setting the stage for a detailed discussion on how cybersecurity measures can be applied throughout the lifecycle of AI models. Attendees will explore real-world applications of AI in cybersecurity, learn about the potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with AI, and gain insights into effective mitigation strategies. A live demonstration of jailbreaking a well-known AI model will highlight the importance of robust security measures.

About Speaker 

Daniel Powery is an accomplished IT leader with a proven track record of delivering transformative change. He has extensive experience managing complex projects and possesses expertise in key areas including cybersecurity, networking, IT service management (ITSM), and IT infrastructure management. Daniel holds a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Southampton (UK) and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Additionally, he previously earned an industry-standard ITIL Foundation Certificate, and a Data Science certification from Microsoft. Currently, he is serving as the IT Manager at CISCA Co-operative Credit Union.
