Work within the Special Economic Zone

Internship placement is an excellent way to gain valuable work experience. In the global job market, competition can be fierce and therefore one of the best ways to distinguish yourself from the rest of the pack is to have additional work experience beyond your school.

Not only does this show you have a passion and drive to excel in a chosen career path, but many companies see internships as extended job interviews as well. Therefore, an intern who works hard, asks questions, and demonstrates a willingness to learn may find themselves one step closer to their dream job.

Our programme aims to place 25+ applicants with internship opportunities throughout the Cayman Enterprise City special economic zones. The internship programme is open to Caymanians and certain residents of the Cayman Islands between the ages of 18-25 and lasts from one to three months throughout the year. Some internships will take place with Cayman Enterprise City (the development company) and others will take place within companies that are part of the three special economic zones, which include: Cayman Tech City, Cayman Commodities & Derivatives City, and Cayman Maritime & Aviation City.

To participate, we ask that you complete this 20-30-minute survey so that we can better assist in matching you with a potential internship placement. Once a match has been made, successful candidates will be invited to come in for an interview with CEC and/or the zone organisation. Please note that your answers submitted in this survey will be shared with participating zone companies. We will do our very best to match everyone who applies but cannot guarantee that all applicants will be successful.
