Residences General Maintenance Engineering Supervisor (Cayman Islands, Full Time)
Job Description
Location: Cayman Islands, Full Time
Job Dimensions
Install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of tools, home appliances, and equipment. Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed. Maintain inventory and purchase orders log. Inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Operate power lift. Complete the life safety checklist, including the fire-pump run test and generator run test. Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems. Assist in development of disaster response protocols. Respond and attend to guest repair requests, Supervise, schedule, train, and motivate engineering staff, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with safety, security, and brand standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Preferred, 3-4 years’ experience in the engineering and maintenance in a hotel similar with luxury standards
- Knowledge of all technical aspects of engineering/maintenance (i.e., mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC), carpentry and painting.
- Engineering degree preferred or Diploma in Engineering
- Engineering Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical a plus
- Must possess excellent trouble-shooting skills with the ability to document repairs and maintenance to be carried out in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of Building Management computer applications (BMS), Purchasing and related audit tools.
- Ability to interpret Building drawings and Blueprints
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations and proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent guest service skills and Ability to communicate in English required (read, write and speak).
- Handle vendor relationships, supervise external contractors.
- Ability to work a flexible scheduled including evening, weekends, emergency call out and holidays
