Your role
The Finance Controller will oversee all financial aspects of the organization with a global perspective, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in financial management, a strong command of English (both spoken and written), and a comprehensive understanding of international accounting practices and currency consolidation. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-currency environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely consolidated financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for multiple countries.
  • Analyze global financial performance and variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on detailed financial analysis.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the budgeting process for a global organization, including preparing, reviewing, and consolidating budgets from various countries.
  • Develop and manage financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning and decision-making on a global scale.

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, international accounting standards, and internal policies across all operating countries.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings in various jurisdictions.
  • Manage external audits, liaise with auditors on annual audit processes, and ensure successful audit outcomes.

Financial Management

  • Supervise and manage the finance team, providing leadership and support across multiple locations.
  • Oversee global cash flow management, including optimizing working capital and managing currency exchange risks.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate consolidation.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with local operations' finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting and compliance across different regions.
  • Collaborate with auditors to facilitate annual audits and address any issues or concerns that arise during the audit process.

Strategic Support

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute global financial strategies and objectives.
  • Support business development initiatives and evaluate the financial viability of international projects or investments.
  • Provide global financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial management or a similar role, with experience in international financial consolidation and multi-currency environments.
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, financial regulations, and financial reporting practices.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis on a global scale.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop finance team members across different locations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
