Job Purpose
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in promoting the school’s identity, values, and achievements to both internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will lead marketing campaigns, manage digital platforms, produce promotional materials, and coordinate major events such as Graduation.
Job Dimensions
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing marketing strategies, maintaining the school website and social media channels, designing flyers, posters, and newsletters, and acting as the main point of contact for external partnerships and sponsorships. The role also involves supporting student recruitment, community engagement efforts and managing communications through platforms such as ePraise, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all messaging aligns with the school’s Catholic ethos and strategic goals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field.
- At least five years of working experience in marketing, social media or communications
- Proficiency in design and communication tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
- Experience with website content management systems (i.e. WordPress) and email marketing tools.
- Demonstrated experience in managing digital platforms, producing promotional materials and coordinating events.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to tone, clarity, and audience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication style.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, attention to detail, accuracy, integrity and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information are key qualities required for the position.
